His Holiness the Christ spoke to His disciples telling them that He would return to the Earth.  Do you remember what question His disciples asked Him when He told them them that?  They asked Him what would be the sign of His Presence on Earth at His return to Earth.    He answered their question, telling them what that sign of His Presence on Earth would be, and no woman or man can identify and recognize Him on Earth at His return to Earth unless she or he clearly understands the accurate and true meaning of that sign which His Holiness the Christ provided.  I visited more than four hundred different Christian churches, interviewing church Leaders (paid professional Clergymen) and church members, and many of those church Leaders and members offered me their explanations of the meaning of that sign which the Lord Christ provided.  I recorded those different explanations in that  letter which I am sending to you (below) so that you can tell me if you agree with any of those explanations of the meaning of that sign provided by the Lord Christ, or if you have a separate and different explanation.  I do not belong to any of those so many hundreds of different Christian churches which I visited.  The discussion below,  in the form of a letter, with the title:  The Lord's Parousias (Presence) contains no comments from me, only many different explanations from many church leaders and members concerning the meaning of that Holy prophetic sign provided by His Holiness the Christ so that women and men can recognize and identify Him at His return to Earth.  {"Wherever the carcass is, there the vultures will gather together."}   Do you agree with any of those explanations in the discussion below offered by different church leaders and members, or do you have a separate and different explanation?   The explanations which paid professional Clergymen  offered me are very different, even conflicting and contradictory.  I am very interested to hear your explanation of the meaning of that sign provided by His Holiness the Christ.  No woman or man can recognize/identify Him at  His return to Earth unless she or he clearly understands the accurate and true meaning of that sign which He provided.   Since the time that I gathered those different explanations recorded in the letter below, another correspondent offered me yet another different explanation and it is this one:  "At the rapture, when Jesus gathers the souls of the believers to Him up in the sky, those souls will leave their fleshly bodies on the ground as corpses and vultures will eat those dead bodies."    Also,    I visited a Catholic Priest in his church office and he said   to me that the meaning of the prophecy concerning the carcass and the vultures is that: "where there is smoke, there is fire."    That Catholic Priest did not elaborate or offer any additional explanation.   Also,   I wrote to the head office of the Iglesia ni Cristo in the Philippines  asking them to provide me their explanation of the meaning of that same Holy prophecy.   That church headquarters wrote me back without offering any explanation of the meaning of that sign which   His Holiness the Christ provided.       Cordially, Ross

 The Lord's 'Parousias' (Presence)

Dear Toto and Mannyl, we are wondering how you are doing? Noemi sends you her love and greetings and Silvana misses the children. I am still visiting different churches each weekend. I visited two this past weekend. At the Evangelical church we discussed the Prophecy of His Holiness the Lord Christ recorded at Matthew chapter 24 verses 27 and 28. I have encountered many different explanations of that Prophecy in various different Christian churches, often conflicting explanations in the same church. The church leader in the evangelical (Pentecostal) church to whom I spoke yesterday explained his belief that there are two separate advents of the Lord Christ,--the first when He "raptures" His church, and the second when He stands on the Mount of Olives and the angels (the "vultures" of the Prophecy of  Mat.24: 28) gather to Him at that time those from the nation of Israel who have repented during the "great tribulation" and have become believers in Him. When I asked him what the "vultures" are eating or consuming at that time, he offered that since the Lord is the "carcass" He is providing them (the angels) their spiritual sustenance. An Apostolic Church Pastor offered that the "carcass" is the resurrected body of Jesus that died on Calvary, while the "eagles" are believers, the prophetic 'eagles' of Isaiah chapter 40, verse 31. A Seventh Day Adventist leader offered that the "vultures" is the worshipping of man, greed, money, power, prestige, and wealth instead of the Gospel. He offered no explanation for the "carcass". Another church member offered that the "carcass" is a dead thing and the greedy ones go there, while the "vultures" are the greedy ones who don't know Christ. One of the various Seventh Day Adventists with whom I discussed the question offered his belief that the “vultures” or “eagles” (some translations) of Mat. 24:28 are the hosts of angels who arrive with the Lord at His Advent, and the “carcass” is the believers on Earth at that time. Another church member in a Full Gospel church which I visited offered his belief that the "carcass" of Mat. 24:28 is a "group of Christian believers" and that the "vultures" are spiritual "predators" who deny Christ and attempt to disrupt the Faith of the believers. In a large Baptist Church I was offered that the Prophecy of Mat.24:28 is "talking about Armageddon" and that the corpses are literal-those men and women destroyed in "Armageddon"-and that the vultures are literal birds. Another church member attempted to connect the Prophecy of Mat. 24:28 with the next few verses and eventually expressed her opinion that Christians have no need to understand the Prophecy of verse 28 and that it is insignificant for them. Another church Pastor wrote to say that this discussion is “straining at the gnat and swallowing the camel”, exposing his own attitude/belief that there could exist a Holy Prophecy spoken by the Lord Christ which is as insignificant as a “gnat”.
There appears to be no end of varied and conflicting interpretations offered by Christians in all Christian denominations related to those important/critical/vital verses of Holy Prophecy spoken for us by His Holiness the Christ, concerning His re-appearance on Earth. The babel of confusion which has engulfed them all has caused the vast majority to disregard His warning: "Look! I am coming as a thief". (Revelation:3:3, Revelation: 16:15) In fact, they are missing His "parousias" as death overtakes them. "Certainly, unless you wake up, I shall come as a thief and you will not know at all at what hour I shall come upon you." (Rev. 3:3) Each of today's Christians displays the attitude that that warning given Christians by His Holiness the Christ applies only to some 'other' Christians 'somewhere else' on Earth but not to him or her.   Best wishes, Ross

Was Paul’s Statement Merely a Casual Historical Comment?     Paul wrote:  “For you see His calling of you, brothers, that there are not many wise in a fleshly way, not many powerful, not many of noble birth, but God chose the foolish things of the world, to put the wise men to shame; and God chose the weak things of the world to put the strong things to shame; and God chose the insignificant things of the world and the things looked down on, the things that are not, to bring to nothing the things that are,…"    Are those Words which flowed through Paul’s inspired pen merely a casual historical comment, or, rather, are those Words a serious warning for all believers and true seekers?  I discovered the application for those Words in my own spiritual life when I posted some negative comments about Joseph Pepe Remey in the discussion Forum in the Chicago Tribune, during the Court attack by the Head Office of the large body of Baha’i’s at the time that the Leaders of that large group were attempting by legal decree to outlaw the Faith and public testimony of the members of smaller Baha’i’ groups. When I posted negative comments about Joseph Pepe Remey in that Forum, a member of the Bahai’s Under the Provisions of the Covenant challenged me.  I don’t recall his exact words, however the essence of what he said to me is:  ‘Who do you think you are to question Almighty God’s calling and choosing of a person?’ When that friend challenged me, Paul’s Words above began ringing in my ears and I had no response.    That is not to say that all foolish and despised women and men on Earth are God’s called and chosen ones.  Most are not.  Nevertheless, great caution is the course of wisdom for any woman or man who does not wish to be found guilty of the   immense impudence of questioning God’s choosing of His servants. Charles Mason Remey chose Joseph Pepe Remey to be his only son.  Historically, God’s chosen ones were not usually supported by the majority, and some had only one or two faithful companions, and some none at all.  Many were ill-treated or put to death.  My subsequent communication with the Baha’i’s Under the Provisions of the Covenant, and the Guardian, Neal Chase,  persuaded me that the BUPC Faith is the true Baha’i Faith which is carrying out the Mission of the Lord of this Age, to establish the Kingdom of God on Earth.   Ross Campbell
